Hey folks,
First thing's first:
As many of you may or may not know, I actually started my writing career as a playwright! And as such, I was super excited to find another dramatist who's also writing mashups on Kickstarter! Enter the Eisner Award-nominated Jeff Douglas Messer, the writer/creator of Spies, Sex & Rock and Roll:
This KS is ABOUT TO CLOSE. They have just 2 hours left!!! So DEFINITELY go toss them a pledge RIGHT NOW. Seriously, don't finish reading this update. Pledge then come back. You'll get a huge amount of value because of all the stretch goals they've unlocked and the writing and dialogue will be a step up, as it's coming from a dramatist!
Now, into business as usual
SCOUT COMICS Spotlight: Bryan Silverbax & Chris Hamer
So, it's no secret that Bryan Silverbax has done more SWZA Variant Covers than anyone else...and it's not hard to see why:
The amount of talent and detail he has brought to the project is truly breathtaking, so if you haven't already please consider adding this cover to your pledge and/or upgrading to one of the Silverbax levels.
Also, as a change of pace, check out this incredible print by another Scout artist and creator Chris Hamer:
Chris is the writer/creator of Scout Comics The Adventures of Byron which is a lovely, weird and fun series with some really cool merch. I've been wanting to work with him for a while and I figured this KS was the best time to introduce his talent to the SWZA audience. This SIGNED and EMBOSSED print is available starting at the $35 level and as an add-on.
And finally, check out:
Not So Fair Tales:
I'm a huge fan of what people can do with fairy tales. Hence why I jumped at the chance to pledge to this super-cool fairytale anthology boasting multiple artists, and some really fun re-imaginings including a COVID-inspired version of Rapunzel.
That's all for now, let's keep pushing to break $15,000 and get those new Tarot Cards!!!

– Mon, Jul 05, 2021 at 07:57:30 PM
Well, you guys did it! Just ten days in and we've already solidly hit our first stretch goal! Luana and I will be creating Reign of the Blood-Covered King #3 which will be delivered digitally to EVERYONE who gave to the campaign!
As such, I'm very happy to announce our next stretch goal!
$15,000 NEW TAROT CARDS
The Tarot Cards Luana and I designed came out AMAZINGLY (and is available as an add-on). When this campaign exceeds $15k, we will release the next set of SWZA-Inspired Major Arcana. Not only that but anyone who has given at the "Variant" level ($20 or more, not including shipping) or higher will received one of them for free!
These Tarot Designs were super fun to make and Luana and I are really looking forward to getting them to you, so please pledge and share as much as you can to push us over that line!
Cheers,

New Collaborator Spotlight + Beastlands & Code 45!
– Mon, Jul 05, 2021 at 07:52:59 PM
Hey folks!
Well would you look at that, we are less than $400 away from making our first stretch goal, just the DAY AFTER I announced it!
In celebration, I wanted to take a second to highlight two new artists who did EXCLUSIVE variant covers for this campaign.
The first is Karl Moline, who has done some great work for Marvel and Darkhorse and co-created Fray with Joss Whedon and Route 666 with Tony Bedard. So far, this is the only cover we actually have which features all four major SWZA "good guys" and I LOVE his take on the Big Bad Alpha Wolf, plus...who's that in the moon anyway? You'll have to wait and see!
Both D&D and Buffy the Vampire Slayer are HUGE inspirations for SWZA and so I'm so tickled to be working with two new artists of such talent who've worked on such incredible projects.
So definitely consider grabbing yourself a variant cover or two (they've been added to the add-ons).
Like SWZA, Code 45 is a Scout Comics title that's on its fifth issue:
Ben is a phenomenal guy and his urban fantasy story set in the Montreal Rave Scene just hits ALL of my buttons. Plus the colors are just breathtaking. This kickstarter has just NINE days to go, and they are funded so definitely give them a look.
Thanks folks! Here's looking forward to breaking our first stretch goal!
Cheers!

SWZA #4 is FUNDED! FIRST STRETCH GOAL + NEW ADD-ONS
over 3 years ago
– Mon, Jul 05, 2021 at 07:49:50 PM
Well folks, here we are again.
I am beside myself with joy, your enthusiasm has once again made it possible for us to continue telling the story of Snow White Zombie Apocalypse.
In celebration of hitting our goal so quickly, I am proud to announce our first stretch goal!
Drum roll please...
$12,000 Reign of the Blood-Covered King #3
If this Kickstarter can top $12,000 or more, Team SWZA will be releasing Reign of the Blood Covered King Part 3!!! This prequel comic will be full color and will continue the story of Herrold Von Berge aka the Mysterious "Bean Wizard" (who we met in RBCK #2 and "rescued" Brunhild the Cow from our very own Jack the Giant Slayer) and Prince Charming's Father the Eponymous Blood-Covered King just as the kingdom is overwhelmed with the early stages of the zombie plague:
This FULL COLOR 6-page mini-comic will be digitally delivered to everyone who pledges $5 or more!
ALSO, a number of you have been asking about SWZA back issues, as well as extra copies of the first comic. As such, I have added additional add-on levels. This will allow you to add-on comics that may not be offered at specific levels. I have also added a digital add-on of Reign of the Blood-Covered King #2 for those of you who already got the digital issues, but don't have reign #2 yet.
If there's other stuff you want in the add-on arena (like for instance the first official SWZA Coin) feel free to add it on now:
ALSO, Kickstarters to check out!
So, I like to point you guys in the direction of other KS's I think you'll like. As such, check out the HIGHLY fantastical Viridae which is set in a post-apocalyptic pandemic:
They have a really interesting, very "painterly" art style and are about halfway to their $2500 goal with eleven days to go--So how about you check them out and help 'em get there?
Secondly, everyone remember Kathryn Calamia? who contributed the Invicible-Esque "Like Father Like Daughter comic to our Digital Smorgasbord stretch goal? Well she's continuing the series WITH A CROSSOVER:
